Jasmine is a devotional singer-songwriter, mantra musician and fusion dancer. After a long pause from facilitating and performing sacred music, she is returning to it with a live solo-acoustic project, called ‘Before the Dawn’, launching in the Byron Bay area at wellness venues, retreats, and yoga centres in late 2026.
Her new solo concert ‘Before the Dawn’ is an offering of feminine devotional songs of resilience. These songs emerged from the spiritual solace found in quiet devotion and stillness and are dedicated to the collective healing of humanity and the current times we are in.
Alongside this new music project, Jasmine will start sharing once again her lie-down mantra sound baths and facilitating group mantra singing in the Byron Bay area, which she regularly offered at local events, retreats and festivals in the past under the name Sashini.
Her emphasis on slow and gentle songs and dance movement, create an expansive spaciousness to her art that soothes the central nervous system and encourages audiences and participants to slow down and feel, in order to heal. The more we listen and soften into our inner experience while dancing or immersing ourselves in sacred sound, the more we can create space to open and surrender to our natural state of inner flow. Both her music and dance are approached as sacred mediums to cultivate deeper presence, awareness and inner coherence.
Dancing temple fusion belly dance for over a decade and exploring dance as movement art for twenty years, Jasmine now offers fusion dance workshops called ‘Temple Flow Motion’ and classes in fusion belly dance. With a dance background in contemporary, training in Mexico and then Colombia with master choreographers, she fell in love with the feminine power and softness of belly dance after becoming a mother. She continues to research and train in a broad range of ancient and traditional dances, which she incorporates into her fusion dance style. Yearly trips to India’s spiritual temples, from 2010-2019, to immerse in devotional Bhakti yoga, mantra, music and temple dance has also been a great influence to Jasmine’s fusion style.
A unique dance workshop, ‘Temple Flow Motion’ weaves together fluid movement and fusion dance technique inspired by ancient dances of Egypt, India, Persia, Spain and Polynesia into sequences taught in a slow ‘flow’ format. In these workshops, participants gently explore fusion dance movement in sacred/safe space, from where we invite our bodies to soften and open with presence in order to feel and heal. These workshops combine dance technique with practices to cultivate inner awareness of the body as a sacred temple and connect with our inner state of flow. Through the dance, we practice the art of deep listening, compassionate witnessing, and cultivating a devotional heart.
Bookings are now open to aligned venues, retreats and wellness-related centres in the Byron Bay area who would like to host a live ‘Before the Dawn’ concert, sound bath, group chant for peace and/or dance workshop with Jasmine.
